Best Time For Gir Tour
The best time to visit Gir National Park depends on what you want to experience:

Peak Season: Winter (November - February)
Winter is the best time to visit Gir National Park as the weather remains pleasant and the temperature ranges from 10°C to 25°C. During these months, animals, especially the Asiatic lions, remain more active, and safaris during this time are more enjoyable. These months also offer tourists to enjoy the sights of migratory birds.

Shoulder Season: Summer (March - June)
The summer season brings high temperatures. During this time, the temperature can be very hot and even reach up to 45°C which makes it difficult to enjoy gypsy safaris. But, even after this much heat, the crowd remains high because this is the best time for wildlife sightings. Animals come near water resources because of the heat. They can be seen playing inside it or drinking water from it.

Closed Season: Monsoon (July – October)
The park remains closed during monsoon due to heavy rains and slippery roads. Wildlife safaris are not conducted during this time as the roads become inaccessible. The road and safari routes become dense and slippery in the forest area, and for safety reasons, safaris are not allowed.
