Do Dham Yatra by Helicopter
Day 1. Darshan in Badrinath & Kedarnath by Helicopter

To enjoy the facilities of this Char Dham Tour Package, you have to come to the Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun. From there, at 10:30 AM in the morning, you will depart to the Sersi helipad in Guptkashi. Then, you can board another helipad for Kedarnath Dham. Around 11:00 AM in the morning, you will be there at the Kedarnath helipad. This is around 400m from the sacred temple of Kedarnath.

Upon arrival in Kedarnath Helipad, you can proceed towards Kedarnath Temple and do a VIP Darshan there. Take blessings from the temple and spend a peaceful time there and then return to Kedarnath Helipad. From there, you will be taken to Guptkashi. 


From the helipad of Guptkashi, you will board a helicopter to Badrinath Dham. Around 02:45 PM, you will be there at the Badrinath helipad. Have lunch there and then you can go to the Badrinath temple to seek blessings. This temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Spend a nice time there with spiritual vibes all around and then return to Badrinath Helipad. 

At 04:15 PM, you will board a chopper from the Badrinath Helipad to the Sahastradhara Helipad of Dehradun. The Do Dham Yatra Package will end here with blessings from Kedarnath and Badrinath Temple.

Terms & Conditions for Do Dham Yatra by Helicopter

  • Flying in hilly areas can face delays due to several reasons like clearance delays from Air Force and Civil Aviation, VIP movements, flying restrictions by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), bad weather, technical issues with the helicopter, illness of the flight crew and it also depends on late arrival of guests at the helipad.
  • If a passenger weighs more than 75 kg, they must pay an extra charge of INR 2,000/kg for the excess weight. This charge will cover the shuttle service at Sersi. This extra payment will be made directly at the travel time.
  • Daily Tour &  Travel is not responsible for any medical emergency during the trip. The guests are strongly advised to consult a doctor and get a health check-up before starting the Char Dham yatra. A medical check-up is especially important for guests with any kind of existing health issues or concerns.
  • If the yatra to Kedarnath or Badrinath cannot be completed due to bad weather, technical issues, or other uncontrollable reasons, a partial refund will be provided by Daily Tour & Travel.
  • If the helicopter cannot fly due to bad weather on the scheduled day, the booking will not be rescheduled for the next day. We will give you a refund as per the cancellation policy of our company. No compensation or alternative arrangements will be provided for the cancellation of flights because it is beyond the control of the operator.
  • Any expenses for donations, tips, Pitthu (carrying service), or porter charges will be paid directly by the guest.


  • Penalty for Incorrect Weight Declaration

    If the passenger’s actual weight is higher than the declared weight, they will have to pay a penalty of INR 20,000. Along with this, extra weight charges will also apply as per the rules. Passengers will only be allowed to go on a helicopter if the total weight is within the helicopter’s safe limit.
  • Passengers are advised to declare their correct weight (including clothes and shoes) to avoid any kind of penalties.
  • Kindly note that while submitting the body weights, please keep in view that you submit the final weight on a higher side. Add the extra weight of your clothes and also shoes so that you don’t have to face any inconvenience.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

  • Please inform us in writing if you need to cancel your tour/travel/ yatra for unavoidable reasons. Please note that cancellation charges will apply when we receive your written notification. The following cancellation policy will be enforced:
  • More than 35 days before the departure date: 35% of the total charter amount.
  • Between 15 to 35 days before the departure date: 60% of the total charter amount.
  • Up to the 7th day before the departure date: No Refund
  • No show: No Refund
  • Bad weather: Full refund for the unutilized sector(s), minus INR 20,000 for flight preparation and ground arrangement charges

PAYMENT TERMS

  • The booking of this Do Dham Yatra Package has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the charter amount. The full amount must be deposited 35 days before the date of the journey.
  • Rescheduling of booking to the next date will be done on the basis of availability and on the payment of 15% of the cost. This will be permitted only if informed 35 days before the arrival date. In case the rescheduling is requested with less than 35 days to the arrival, then the booking would be treated as canceled. A fresh booking will be given on the basis of availability.

Important Information: 

Tourists are requested to kindly keep in mind that the timings and itinerary that are written above are not final. The schedule of this itinerary can change because of weather conditions and also by the clearance from the Air Force and Civil Aviation, VIP movements, flying restrictions by the Indian Air Force (NOTAM), technical issues with the helicopter, crew health issues, or if guests arrive late at the helipad. 

  • The helicopter will take off from Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun at 5:30 AM to reach the Sersi (Guptkashi). Because of this, guests are advised to kindly reach Sahastradhara Helipad by 4:30 AM on their own. If you need a transfer from your hotel or airport then it can be arranged at an extra cost. You must inform Daily Tour & Travel at the time of booking if you need this service.

  • If the flight is delayed because of bad weather, flying restrictions (NOTAM), or other issues then the representative of Daily Tour & Travel will inform you in advance so you can adjust your reporting time.

  • After the helicopter lands at the Sersi helipad of Guptkashi, you have to board another helicopter for the shuttle service to Kedarnath. Going to Kedarnath directly is not possible so there may be a waiting time of around 1 hour at Sersi, depending on weather and shuttle availability. However, the crew of Daily Tour & Travel will try to minimize the waiting time and get you a shuttle service as soon as possible. 

  • After landing at the helipad of  Kedarnath, the representative of Daily Tour &  Travel will guide you to the temple. You will be given a maximum of 2 hours to complete the darshan at Kedarnath and explore the peaceful surroundings. 

  • After the Darshan at the sacred Kedarnath temple, you will be taken back to Sersi helipad (Guptkashi). From there, you will board a charter helicopter to Badrinath. 

  • After reaching the Badrinath helipad, a car will take you to the temple which will be a ride of approx. 15 minutes. During the ride, you can see nice views of the surroundings. The team of Daily Tour & Travel will arrange darshan for you at Badrinath Temple.

  • After a calming Darshan at Badrinath, you will be taken back by our team to the helipad of Badrinath. From there, you can board the helicopter back to the Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun. 

  • Upon arrival, the services of this Do Dham Yatra by Helicopter will end and then you can move to your next destination. If you have taken our transfer service then from the Sahastradhara Helipad, we will drop you at your hotel or Dehradun airport.

    Carriage by Air Act, 1972

    • The helicopter service follows the rules mentioned in the Carriage by Air Act, 1972.

    • The company's responsibility for any harm caused during air travel, including the death or injury of a passenger or damage to their registered baggage, will be handled according to the rules outlined in sections 4, 5, and 6 of the Carriage by Air Act, 1972. The terms and conditions mentioned in the second schedule of this Act will apply, including any exceptions, adjustments, or changes notified by the Government of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation, and as updated from time to time.

    Important Guidelines for Helicopter Booking

    1.  Aerial Photography is Strictly Prohibited - The passengers are not allowed to take photographs from the helicopter during the flight. It is illegal and punishable by the law and also photography at the helipad is also strictly prohibited.

    2. Infant Policy - Infants below 2 years or weighing less than 12 kg can travel for free.

    For age verification, ID proof or a birth certificate may be requested before or during the travel.

    3. Hand Baggage Allowance - Each person who goes on the flight is allowed to carry one handbag with a weight of 2 kg. Additional oversized bags are not allowed.

    4. Helicopter Weight Limit - Boarding on the helicopter totally depends on the total load and weather conditions. The decision of the pilot on weight and load balance will be final. The maximum weight capacity of a helicopter without the baggage is 450kg. During the Char Dham Tour Package Booking, it is important for the guests to provide their exact body weight and make sure that their baggage remains within a particular limit.

    Any dispute related to the terms and conditions, service, or performance will be governed under the laws of Delhi Jurisdiction.
